New Nintendo 2DS XL micro sd slot replacement question
Hi there,
I have had an issue with my N2DSXL’s micro sd slot for a while where it would sometimes not connect, the slot feels spongy and have been looking into getting it fixed.
However because they are soldered it is not as easy to buy a replacement slot and plug it in like the New 3DS xl.
I have been looking into getting the component to fix myself but I have not found anything that isn’t a long time for shipping or quite expensive for the part.
Because of this I am curious if I can desolder a micro sd slot from a N3DSXL micro sd card module (which I can get more conveniently) and solder the actual card slot onto my N2DSXL. Which according to my searching has the same number of pins and mounting points in the same/similar area.
I probably am making unnecessarily harder to repair but, I’m curious if it is possible and if someone has done it before?
Or if I should just cave and the get the actual component?
Any thoughts, suggestions or advice would be appreciated
