Toddler woke up around 5am and said their cheek hurt. Looked inside and there was some fresh lightish amount of blood on the cheek he complained about. But I saw bite marks on the other side too. Google says the most likely reason is teething/unintentional grinding in sleep. Although a seizure is mentioned as a rare possibility.
I'm epileptic, so naturally that idea scares me that that's what it could be. The epilepsy seems to be hereditary as well. Although, there are some differences. Myself and my aunt (both female) got it right after puberty (around 13/14 yrs old). Nephew, on the other hand, got it around age 10? I think. Maybe a little younger. Still way older than my toddler.
What are the chances it could be a seizure vs normal teeth grinding? Please tell me it's just the grinding and I'm thinking too much into it.
