Sync box Ps5 cutting out
Hello all, I just joined the hue world and have set up my TV in the living room.
Everything has worked great with TV and movies so far. I use a Google 4k streaming box into the sync and then to my Samsung tv. No Issues at all. Today for the first time I tried my PS 5 and had major problems.
Turning the Ps5 on, turned on everything and switched the box to the correct input. The menu acted totally fine, but then when I booted up Diablo 4 the screen cut out and my TV was searching for an HDMI input. Then I discovered it depended on what screen I was on. If I pressed the home button, the screen would come back on and I could scroll the menu. But as soon as I dismiss the menu to play the game, it goes off.
I tried booting up 2xko, similar but different issue. This time I could actually get in the game, but when I was scrolling menus it would cut out depending on when I change certain menu screens. And when I got in an actual match, it would go on and off in frequent succession.
Looking for any advice cause I'm pretty bummed out about it.
I don't understand why certain in game inputs would matter. On the hue app it will alternate between saying "ready" and "connected" as the signal goes in or out. I ordered a few new HDMI cables just to make sure everything is clear there. Maybe it's the Tv trying to adjust? It does keep turning game mode on and off as the signal goes in and out too.
