So my friend and I have been working on a story for a while now. It's a thriller. Delhi-based. The kind of story we personally wanted to read and watch but couldn't find anywhere.
We've written the first two chapters and a teaser script. We want to shoot the teaser.
Before anything else — there is no pay. I'm putting that in bold because I don't want to waste anyone's time. We are not a production house. We are not backed by anyone. We are two people with a story we believe in and enough equipment to shoot something that looks decent.
If the teaser does well on YouTube and we earn something from it, everyone involved gets a share. If it earns nothing, then what you got out of it is the experience, a credit, and the fact that you were part of something from the very beginning. That's the honest version. Take it or leave it.
What is the project:
It's called Zero Hour.
It's set in Delhi. It starts at Peeragarhi metro station on a regular Tuesday morning. Something happens. Within hours the city is unrecognizable. Within 24 hours the country is changed. Within 42 hours the world is different.
That's all I'll say for now. If you're interested we'll share the first two chapters with you. Read them and decide if you want to be part of it.
What we are shooting:
A 90 second teaser trailer. Think of it as a proof of concept — something we can put out to show people what this story looks and feels like.
We shoot at a metro station, early morning. One day of shooting, maybe two if we need pickups. We move fast, we're organised, we don't waste people's time.
Characters we need:
Suresh — The Man With The Grey Backpack
Male. 35 to 50 years old. Medium height, average build. The most important thing about this character is that he looks completely ordinary. Forgettable, even. If you have a very distinctive face or a very striking look, this is probably not the role for you — and that's not an insult, it's just what the character needs. No dialogue. You walk through a crowd, you stand on a platform, you get on a train. One specific moment involving a small stumble that we will rehearse on the day.
Dilip — The Phone Case Seller
Male. 40 to 55 years old. Warm face. The kind of person who looks like he's been at the same job for years and is genuinely okay with that. We spend the most time with this character in the teaser. No dialogue but you need to be comfortable in front of a camera because there is a close-up shot that requires a specific quality — we will explain in person. Ideally someone with some acting experience but not required if you have the right face and the right energy.
Pramod — The Security Guard
Male. 25 to 35 years old. Ordinary. Could believably be a metro security guard. No dialogue. One phone call scene that is silent — just body language. One reaction shot that is the most important acting moment in the teaser. Again we will explain in person.
Meera — The Seven Year Old Girl
Female. Actual age 7 to 9. Walks through a crowd, bumps into someone, goes back to her mum. That's the whole role. Completely safe shoot. Parent or guardian must be present at all times and is welcome on set throughout. If you have a daughter, niece, younger sibling in this age range who is comfortable around cameras and strangers, this might be a fun thing to do on a weekend morning.
What you get:
Full credit on the teaser and on the project going forward.
If you want, your name becomes the character's name. Suresh, Dilip, Pramod — these are placeholder names right now. If you play the role, the character can carry your name in the actual book and any future production. That felt like a fair thing to offer.
A copy of the finished teaser before it goes public.
First option to reprise your role if this goes anywhere beyond the teaser — no obligation, just first option.
And honestly — the experience of being part of something at the ground floor. We genuinely believe in this story. We are going to keep making it regardless of whether this teaser gets ten views or ten lakh. If that kind of thing appeals to you, great. If you need a guarantee of something more than that, this is not the right project.
What we need from you if you're interested:
Drop a comment or DM me with:
- Which character you're interested in
- A recent photo — doesn't need to be professional, phone camera is fine, just needs to actually look like you
- Two lines about why you want to do this — not a formal application, just so I know you've actually read the post
We'll get back to everyone who responds. No ghosting.
Practical stuff:
Shooting in the Delhi NCR area. Exact location to be confirmed based on permissions — likely a metro station on the Green or Yellow line.
Shooting day will be an early morning — we're talking 5:30 AM call time, done by 10. The light and the crowd at that hour is what the story needs.
We'll cover travel and food on the day. That's what we can commit to right now.
One last thing:
If you've read this far and you're thinking — this sounds like a fun thing to do on a Saturday morning with zero downside — you're right. That's exactly what it is.
If it turns into something bigger, great. If it stays a passion project that a few thousand people watch on YouTube, that's also fine. The story is worth telling either way.

Let's make something.
