I know this may sound dramatic but this lady has literally been the thorn in my side since watching this movie. After seeing all the pictures of the deleted scenes and all the information I have gathered, Diana Ross might have single handedly stopped this movie from being a perfect 10/10. Even though her character may have not been as potent as someone like Bill’s, from what I’ve been able to gather these last two weeks is that the few scenes she had, connected to so much other content that had to be cut because of the legal reasons she more than likely influenced. So with everyone sad about Studio 54, Rock with you, the wiz(maybe), Stephanie Mills, and Mikes teenage years not being in the movie, you can thank Diana. I’m not 100% sure she had a hand in all of those things being cut but with everything I’ve been able to see and read, I would bet a lot of money it was because of her. Yes the movie is great as it is, I loved it after seeing it a few times. But we can all agree there’s something that just feels missing. I believe that missing feeling are those deleted scenes all thanks to the one and only Diana Ross. I don’t know how it’s gonna happen but somehow someway we need that directors cut.
