Davinci Resolve editing workstation: Intel 285K or 270K?
After a lot of setbacks, I'm finally nearing being able to assemble all the components for my editing workstation, but I've stumbled over reviews and benchmarks for the new Intel Core 7 270K, and I'm curious if it would be better to switch to it from the 285K I've already purchased?
It'll be going in a system with:
- Asus ProArt z890 MoBo
- RTX 5070ti
- 96 GB RAM
And will be primarily doing editing and VFX (2K - 12K footage, Color, Fusion), but also some 3D in Fusion 360.
From everything I've seen, the 270K is performing as good if not a little better than the 285K, and I could probably net a couple hundred bucks by selling the 285K (new in box - never opened) and going with the 270K - but is there actually any scenario where it makes sense to hold on to the 285K?
