Okay for context stuff went down at our highschool and my and my freind, Zoey got suspended for a little for bringing alcohol in school (Yes i know this was a stupid decision but we made a mistake but this isn't what the post is about) Me, my best friend Emma (who has disliked Zoey for probably 2 months), Zoey, and Ava are all in a freind group together. I've known Emma for two years but just started becoming best freinds and full closer with her in the begining of this year.
(We have all of our classes together, not Ava though.)
The reason Emma started to dislike Zoey in the beginning was because she felt like I wasn't talking to her as much since Zoey joined our freind group (Zoey is very shy and we didn't quite bond as much untill around 3 months ago because she had finally opened up to me) and we had a whole argument which resulted in me being more dry with Zoey to accomadte what Emma wanted, after a while Zoey and Ava made a few tasteless jokes (our sense of humor sometimes can sound insulting at times as we are teenagers, so) and after that point Emma has made it a point to ignore and make snarky comments to Zoey. When this would happen, Ava would just ignore it and I would try and simmer down her comments by adding a slight joke after to make what Emma said not sound as harsh. Zoey just ignored her remarks and just didn't react to them. Awhile After the argument with Emma, she brought it up again saying how she hated how much I would talk to Zoey and not her, (which I belive isn't that true since I always go to Emma first after somthing happens and I talk to her the most outside of school as well and I did not with Zoey.) and she said she was jellous of Emma, and I comforted her and told her that she is and will always be my best friend, and I distanced myself from Zoey a little bit. And Zoey somehow found out about the argument, because I told Ava about it, and she stopped walking with me to class so I could go and walk with Emma. And Emma would continue to bring up her distain of Zoey and I'd comfort her and tell her it was okay, and after the suspension that was her last straw with Zoey and she gave me an ultimatum saying I would have to drop her or she'd stop being freinds with me and this was the first time she's fully gave me an ultimatum like this, before she'd just complain about how much me being freinds with her was annoying to her and I was honestly just shocked that she was that willing to throw set our friendship over that. I explained to her how exhausted I was of being stuck in the middle of being friends with them and how she should js ignore her, I mentioned about how she shouldn't have the right to control me and who I talk to and I was honestly just hurt. I said how unfair it was to put something like that on me and she said she doesn't understand why I keep defending her even tho we got in trouble with school and said how it was a stupid idea, and it was unsafe (which I agree with it was not a good decision to do.) and said that we were freinds longer and I should not continue to be freinds with Zoey anymore. She talked about how she was a bad influence on me, but all three of us were wanting to do other things (not alcohol) together, so. Ava also texted me and said she would not be my freind if I continue being freinds with her aswell.
I guess I'm just lost on what to do here, I do not want to let go of any of my friendships, Emma Ava nor Zoey. Zoey is unaware of all this. I checked social media and found out Emma has been reposting many things about how disappointed she is in me and how fake I am, and that just hurt me since I'm the type to not post about my arguments or issues like that. She also posted a note on Instagram vague-calling me a looser and to drop her. I see her argument but she's taken it up in away that was immature and just hurt me more than convince. I know im not a saint as I've made mistakes but I'm jut offended and lost.
I'm leaning on dropping Zoey over this. I do not want to be controlled like this or give into an ultimatum but frankly those three are my only friends and I do not want to loose Emma or Ava.
I need help, i thought i was doing what i should to make everyone happy and the one time i tried resorting back then stuff like this happens and im stuck here.
