I have ulcerative colitis and was diagnosed at 12 and it was always my mother who did the appointments ( my father never really seemed interested in it lol). She was always the type to do all the talking and make it about her, she has also thought that it was my fault and has had a strong hold on my diet ever since judging what I eat and when I eat. I recently turned 18 and wanted to go to a appointment myself after lots of telling her I could go she asks at the last minute to come and I say yes because honestly that’s less exhausting then getting yelled at. There she pressured me into getting pills I did not feel comfortable taking and I later had a bad reaction to it. The next appointment was virtual and I was attending it from my uni dorm room I thought she was not going because she had to attend a appointment with my grandfather but she says she is showing up 5 mins before the appointment. Afterwards she said I looked disinterested and needed to fix my face. Now two weeks later she is still bringing it up and saying she chose me over her father ( even though his appointment got canceled and I did not want her there) also saying she will keep showing up until I start taking care of myself ( what that means to her idk). Anyways I’m exhausted dealing with her and I don’t know if this issue is worth fighting. Thanks for any of your advice and allowing me to vent.
