I’m on Nebido (every 12 weeks) for a year now (been on gel for 2 years before Neibido) and just got my labs back. My doctor says everything looks good, but I’m not really convinced.
Here are my results:
Total Testosterone: 9.8 nmol/L
Free Testosterone: 6.1 nmol/L (seems really high?)
SHBG: 17.6 nmol/L (low)
Estradiol: 186 pmol/L
Hematocrit: 0.49
Hemoglobin: 156 g/L
RBC: 5.3 ×10¹²/L
What’s confusing me:
Total T seems low-ish for male range (on gel i had 19 nmol/L)
Free T is super high
SHBG is low, so I guess that explains it
Hematocrit is on the higher side and creeping up
My doctor isn’t concerned and doesn’t want to adjust anything, but I’ve been feeling off since switching from gel to Neibido (been a year now) which makes me wonder if it’s the injection peaks/troughs.
I’m starting to think it might be time to switch back to gel for more stable levels.
Has anyone had a similar situation?
