Ok guys ,,I have a 2001 Chevy S10 ZR5 ,4door pickup…the motor was stuck when I purchased it….a friend gave me a 1997 s10 blazer both had 4.3 automatics,,I swapped the 97 motor into the 01 truck and I know everything is hooked up correctly and the truck does fire,,but it seems to be out of time with the gas going in the cylinder,,because instead of it starting and running it keeps catching on fire in the exhaust (which is unhooked at the y-pipe on both sides,,,can the 97 motor be made to run in the 01 …first time swapping one and I can’t figure out the solution
