I recently purchased a NIB Arc A750 from Server Part Deals for $160 to replace my dying 5700 XT in my OptiPlex Sleeper PC. From a little research I found out Arc performance isn't very good in Linux which is a bummer because I want to use CachyOS so I decided to do some testing of my own and these are the results (see bottom right for the percentage differences)

All settings are the same. Testing on CachyOS was done on April 29th, W11 testing done on May 1st (2026). CachyOS GPU driver = Mesa 26.0.5-arch2.2, Windows 11 GPU driver = 32.0.101.8735. I actually re-ran the CachyOS benchmarks after W11 testing since installing the drivers on Windows had a firmware update and the results were slightly worse so I just included the first batch on CachyOS (second batch was also a slightly newer driver version).

UNIGINE Superposition had the least difference between CachyOS and Windows but the Linux version is limited to OpenGL so that's what I chose on Windows as well. Shadow of the Tomb Raider saw a massive improvement on Windows, and Black Myth: Wukong saw quite a sizeable improvement as well

Obviously 3 benchmarks isn't enough to get a full picture but I didn't want to spend a ton of time testing. Still, I think the results are interesting, and I'll be sticking with Windows 11 for now. If you would like to know anymore info just let me know.

Edit: Just to make it more visible (it's in the notes at the bottom of the sheet) the GPU did thermal throttle (need to get more airflow in this OptiPlex 990 case), you can see the Superposition score going down in CachyOS and Windows and the results overall probably would have been higher with better temps
