Layer shifting

I basically maxed out my exposure settings and properly warmed the resin in a water bath before printing. Beefed up the supports to 3mm diameter for vertical stiffness but kept the .6mm diameter contact points for easy removal. I still can’t get rid of this layer shift.

Any suggestions?

Simple and safe way to heat resin

Best practices for resin printing specify heating resin in a “hot water bath”. https://resiners.com/blogs/resiners-guide/how-to-warm-up-resin

Aside from messing around with DIY methods like microwaving cups of water and pouring them in separately (which then cool when you pour them in, and you can’t control the maximum temperature) or heating it on the stove, which, while you can get more control when used with a thermometer submerged in the water bath, bringing resin into the kitchen is just a recipe for disaster (pun intended.) And the folks who say they “just use a HEAT GUN pointed at the resin vat” are morons, simply put.

The BEST way to controllably heat your resin without overheating it, is to use a sous vide heater in a 1 gallon jar. See exhibit-A.

How to make path from 3D sketch? (The goal is to add Cam Follower Mate to a 3D profile.)

I have a rotary cam (teal color body) that will cause the cam follower to push the shaft (pink color body) axially, as the shaft is rotated. I'm trying to add a Cam Follower Mate to the 3D sketch / green extruded surface, which represents the axial center of the cam follower, as it travels along the cam.

However the Cam Follower Mate tool says the 3D sketch / green surface are "not appropriate" objects to use for the path mate. I tried highlighting the 3D sketch and using the "make path" tool, but "make path" is grayed out / disabled. I believe the "make path" tool is what I need to use to get the cam path object that the Mate tool will accept, but I can't even get that far, because "make path" is disabled.

What am I doing wrong?

Amazon delivery fail

I literally 3D printed a sign and screwed it to a box I placed next to my front door, to discourage porch pirates from knowing when packages were delivered, and to protect packages from animals and the weather.

I also put specific instructions on my Amazon profile for them to leave packages IN the box.

They tend to put packages everywhere else besides the box (middle of the driveway, far end of the front porch, entryway, the curb) but this is the closest they’ve come to getting inside the box without actually doing what I asked.
