I think I must just have a strong sensitivity to synthetic musk, but fragrances that include it in their notes burn my nose bad..
I’ve been trying a few different fragrances that I thought I would love, but turn around and end up hating them. I look at the common notes & its always musk in the base notes. Fragrances like Le Labo Another 13, PDM Greenley, MFK 724, LV Meteore, Creed Aventus, Bond No. 9 Spirit of Peace, & a few others.. there’s this sensation to the fragrance once they’ve dried down that smells very literally hot to my nose. Not in a figurative, but literal sense. It’s almost burns my nostrils. Does anyone else experience the same thing?
The only fragrance I’ve found that has musk in it thatI’ve enjoyed through the dry-down is Ex Nihilo Blue Talisman EDP.
- If y’all have recommendations on fragrances I’m super open to them.. just been a little disheartened by the fact that so many have been flops that I thought I would’ve loved.
- I tend to prefer citrus forward clean / fresh / uplifting fragrances, and soft creamy lightly sweet fragrances. E.g: my favorite fragrance is Le Labo The Matcha 26. I also enjoy the Chanel Allure Homme Sport EDT & Superleggera.
