Hii dropper here, Apparently i fcked up my JEE Mains - me and my family have been going through a lot, so my prep was not up to the mark. But now for quite some time i have been hardworking for WBJEE. I have hope ki that I will be able to clear the exam - so can u guys suggest some of the top colleges other than JU and some private colleges as well - like placements, college life and all??
I joined as the second moderator of a city subreddit around 2–3 days ago, and the subreddit currently has 900 members or so. Actually, I’m concerned that the top mod is largely inactive when it comes to actual moderation and community development.
For a long time, the subreddit had no proper Subreddit Rules before I joined. NSFW posts became common and FWB/hookup type submissions increased. All this in a sub were people meant to gather and talk about city related discussions. Also, I found one Illegal post (asking for we*d location) remained up for around 2 years (it was only removed by me recently). The users involved in that post were never banned (I don’t have the autonomy to ban users myself)
To resolve the issue at once (after so many user reports) the top mod changed posting to “restricted” and requiring approvals to post, but beyond that there doesn’t seem to be meaningful moderation (All this happened before he allowed me to be a mod)
After I became a mod, I noticed some reports going unmoderated in the last 30 days. Moreover, wiki access is blocked so I can’t help set up Auto Mod to deal with such issues. Other than all these, the top mod rarely engages with the subreddit, posts updates, or works on improvements.
My question is: what options does a lower mod have in this situation? If the top mod is active on Reddit but inactive in responsibly managing the subreddit, is there any process to request more permissions, reordering, or intervention? And can I replace the Top Mod by me?
Hello fellow citizens!! I am ur new mod. I am here to announce to some of the major changes made on this sub to increase user experience and interaction!!
1) New subreddit rules added to the sub. What does it means?
Submission made on this sub will now be strictly moderated meaning the posts and comments will have to follow new rules. Users can now enjoy content on this sub without any issue. (To find rules and regulation - open r/Durgapur -> Description -> Rules). Also, report any issue if either of the rules are broken.
2) New logo for the sub
3) Users can now add Post Flair of their choice -
It's easier when u have keywords on a post to find ur ideal content. Adding post flair means more engagement and reach.
4) Photo and Video Submissions are BACK!!
Now u can engage with other people through photos and videos in ur posts.
For any doubts or queries comment down below or reach to us through modmmail.
