Basically I belong to WB but my father used to work in Odisha & I did my High Schooling upto 12 Class from Odisha.

I want to know whether I can claim HS Quota or not?

My father has land in WB under his name. My grandmother has been living here her entire life & this is my permanent address too.

So as I am appearing for wbjee , I recently heard that I can apply for met( manipal) too but phase2 only and the exam date for met is 23-24 may. And wbjee exam date is 24 may. So its so messy because of the dates. Should I register for met phase 2 or not?

Hi everyone, I'm new here. I've been preparing for JEE Mains for two years, and I've recently switched my focus to WBJEE since few days. I've taken 5 WBJEE mocks (PYPs from 2025-21) and am scoring between 75-85. What does this indicate, and what are my potential outcomes?

Which should I study, considering I may take admission in a Tier 2 or 3 college? I heard that with ECE, one can enter both fields CSE and ECE. My cousin is at Infosys earning almost 12 LPA after graduating in ECE (he got this job three years after graduating from tier 3 college without placement and after switching a no of companies), so the options seem broader. Even though initial salaries might be lower in ECE, AI is also improving. If AI can do coding easily at a lower cost, why would companies hire CSE graduates? Oracle laid off around 30,000 employees this year. While the semiconductor sector is growing in India under the 'Make in India' initiative, I doubt Tier 2 or 3 colleges will see much of that growth. I’ve also heard that mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro usually look for CSE students. Is it possible to practice coding while studying ECE? What should I do considering these factors

(I personally like circuits and all)

VIT Vellore integrated M tech CSE (if I get cat 1 or 2 with pcm 94%)

Thapar Patiala (if I get any scholarship, I have 94% percentile AIR 91k in mains and 97.25% in boards (overall))

Hey I don't have bengal reservation and i am aiming for TMSL CS/ECE branch so how much number do I need to get into it.

I am not fully prepared at this moment, my physics is quite strong (got 98.76%ile in physics in JEE mains) decent chemistry and super weak maths so the question is can I still get that college in a span of a month?

Running short on time, targeting ~115 in wbjee. this is what i’m planning:

Maths – LCD, AOD, Definite Integration, Differential Equations, Functions, Straight Line, Circle, Matrices & Determinants, Vectors, 3D, basic PnC

Physics – Units & Dimensions, Kinematics, NLM, WPE, Thermodynamics,SHM, Electrostatics, Current Electricity, Magnetism, Emi & AC, Ray Optics, Modern Physics, Logic Gates

Chemistry – Mole Concept, Atomic Structure, Periodic Classification, Chemical Bonding, Coordination Compounds, Electrochemistry, Kinetics, Ionic Equilibrium, Gaseous State, GOC, Isomerism, Hydrocarbons, Aromatic Compounds, Amines, name reactions and tests

Is this too much or manageable? should i cut/add something?

also how prepare these now — only pyqs or something else(suggest source)?

I'm a general domicile candidate (also applicable for tfw). How many Marks would I need to get into heritage with cse? Also i would want to aim to get into heritage cse with tfw but I know the cutoff is higher there, so what marks would I need to get into the college with (1) tfw (2) simply as a domicile candidate.

Also, 4 years btech fees in heritage is around 5L (without tfw) is what I have heard, is this true? If yes are there any hidden fees?

I don't want to aim for something unrealistic. My cbse 12th went pretty well (expecting 85%-90%) but neither could I prepare for mains nor sir for any other entrance exams due to some family reasons, drop isn't an option either. So I'm left with wbjee and heritage as my only viable goal.

Would really appreciate the help.

I wanna save wbjee pyps for mocks

Shall i do wbjee pyqs and skip them for mocks

or shall i do dpp questions of manzil 26 and leave the WBJEE pyqs for mocks
