Do companions have preference or advantages with different weapons and equipment?

I've been playing this game for almost 7 years, and 60% of the time I team up with Cait; she's my favorite companion (even though she practically dislikes all my actions). Last night, while talking to a friend about not knowing what clothes to give Cait, he said the best outfit for her is the axe and Grognak's armor because, according to him, Cait is much better with melee weapons. I remembered reading something similar here, and now I'm seriously curious: do companions have more advantages depending on the weapon and clothing you give them? I always equip them with the Marine armor or the heavy combat and a rifle (either the AK from Nuka-World or the heavy rifle that uses 5.56 rounds).

Is it worth starting it all over again?

I have to say, I've currently distanced myself from Call of Duty. I'm not interested in Warzone or Black Ops 7, 8, or 285, and I don't want to hear about the franchise for a while. But man, Zombies was my addiction last year, and I'm itching to play it again. The problem is, I have a month of PS Plus, and my main account is maxed out (level 1000, Nebula on every single weapon, 100% completion of absolutely everything). So, I was thinking of switching to my secondary account where I haven't touched the game, and playing it from scratch with 2 friends. But I've been seeing that there are tons of things you can't get anymore or through BO6 exclusively. Could you tell me what things, for example? Like I said, I have no plans to play Warzone

How can I avoid ruining my campaign while still fulfilling my objective? At what point should I betray the raiders?

I'm trying to do a "everything I can get out of the game" run. Basically, I've found a way to play practically all the missions for all the factions, including the Far Harbor and Nuka-World DLCs. But I've reached a point in the campaign where the ideal thing to do is start, progress through, and finish the Nuka-World DLC. Currently, I've just divided all of Nuka-World into two zones for the Pack, two for the Operators, and one for the Disciples (personally, I don't like the Disciples). Now I've talked to Gage, and he mentioned the idea of starting to take over the Commonwealth. My headcanon is that my sole survivor will decide to betray the factions rather than lead an army of psychopaths to a place where mostly innocent people live (and where practically all our friends and allies live). My idea now is to see at what point I can reactivate the power plant or, if necessary, start the "hunting season" now and leave no faction standing (but first, I'd like to get the special abilities of the factions). If someone could guide me or explain how to achieve this, it would help me a lot

I'm here to ask for your help. To summarize my situation: my PS4 controller finally stopped working (no sticks, no R2, the D-pad barely works, and it only works when plugged in), so I started playing on PS5. I recently bought a month of PS Plus and wanted to transfer several save files to my PS5 (for example, Resident Evil 4 Remake transferred without problems, as did Fallout 4), but Assassin's Creed Odyssey won't transfer. I have my save file with almost everything at 100% and I'm in the final stretch of FotA, but no matter how many times I download, overwrite, delete, and re-upload my save file, when I start the game I only have my PS5 save file (from, say, level 5 and 30 minutes, nowhere near my level 100 save file with almost 400 hours).

Basically, after about 6 years I can say that I'm about to finish STW (I wish I could start it again from scratch as a NG+), and now that I can upgrade my gear to 5 stars, I don't know which weapon to upgrade. My options that I was considering are: the Vacuum Tube Bow (but I'm getting a bit tired of using bows), the Bundlebuss (which I feel isn't quite what I remember, it's too weak), or the Wraith (the one I use the most and I've seen that it's the best AR). Other options are the Black Drum (I haven't finished the build to use it well yet and currently the damage it does isn't worth it for me), the Husk Buster (I think I'm still using it because it was my first legendary weapon and so far it never let me down), and the Baron (which I don't really use much), I accept recommendations in any case

[Let's ignore my "censorship" skills, they are weapons which are irrelevant here]. I've had these weapons in my storage for years. Obviously, I know the Plasmatic Discharger has been nerfed to the ground. I've seen there's a sort of "duel" between the Potshot and the De-Atomizer 9000, and while I'm at it, I'd like to ask: how is the Cannonade? It's the highest DPS weapon in my entire storage (208,852.7 DPS, 71,006.3 damage). I was thinking of claiming it with a voucher because it's the only "OP" explosive weapon I haven't researched out of the ones shown in the image
