IVC
Hello everyone, its me again with the backup account, so I was wondering, for IVC filters implanted 20 years ago and no documentation, what do your facilities do? I tried getting Clearance through a radiologist and see if they're ok with me scanning but did not really get a straight answer and I really dont feel ok scanning without either rad backing me up or any documentation. Am I in the wrong? I decided to read up on it as well and dont want to cause a delay in ot care, and did see that most modern IVCs are conditional, but like I said, this was implanted 20 years ago. Advice much appreciated friends
Edit. Forgot to mention im in a hospital aswell, pt and pt family cannot get documentation on where it was at and originally confused it for an aneurysm clip on the aorta
