Can we talk about Fiveish the mascot for a sec?
Does anyone have the backstory on the development or idea behind Fiveish the dancing five dollar bill? I'm very, very hesitant to judge what Jewish orgs use to market their initiatives (I help a couple of Jewish orgs out myself) but I feel like that mascot is such an easy target for anti-semites (actual anti-semites) that anyone with some marketing chops would probably not want to go with something like that. Also I'd think the modern Orthodox segment of Jews that the organization is on level with would understand that it's something that would get lampooned because of Jewish stereotypes about money.
I don't want to cancel Fiveish. I just want to understand Fiveish.
I'm posting this here because I'm banned from two other Jewish subs (you know which ones) for daring to question the IDF's actions and the other J subs would also be likely to find this question/topic hostile. If this post is too inflammatory I understand.
