Portland music folks — where should we hang in town before load-in?

Portland music folks — where should we hang in town before load-in?

Our indie band Danger Kitty will be in Portland for the first time on Thursday, May 21 and we’re pretty stoked to finally spend a little time in the city.

We’re playing Kelly’s Olympian that night with Ashleigh Flynn and Purusa.

We've never been to Portland before so tell us where we should go...

What's your favorite?
• record stores
• smaller venues (we love a good dive bar)
• local bands (some of ours are Glitterfox, Ashleigh Flynn & the Riveters, Fox and Bones...)
• bars with great live music (we love all different types of music)
• rehearsal spaces/hangouts (where can we meet other musicians?)
• weird hidden gems (ala "Keep Portland Weird")

Hit us up with your favs

First Portland show — any favorite spots we should check out while we’re in town?

Our indie band is passing through Portland for the first time on May 21 and we finally get a little time in the city before load-in.

What are the spots you actually love right now?

Favorite coffee? Record stores? Late-night food? Weird hidden gems? Best neighborhood to wander around for a few hours?

We’re playing Kelly’s Olympian that night and so excited to finally experience Portland a bit.
