PS5 not tracking play time correctly
Hey all, I’ve been having trouble with my PS5 not tracking play time properly this last week or so. I’ve seen some relatively recent posts with others having similar issues, but mine seems unique in that I’m actively losing playtime in some games. As in, I’ll play a game for a few hours, my playtime will update accordingly, and then it’ll un-update by the next day.
For example, I bought Death Stranding the other day and I’ve played it for at least 4-5 hours so far. After playing the other day I saw my playtime go from 2 hours to 3, but then the next day it said 2 again. I played some more and it updated again, but the day after it went down to 1 hour. Today, it doesn’t even show a play time on the home menu.
Has anyone had this issue like this? I don’t know if it’s a problem with my console or just an overall issue. As far as I’m aware, it has not affected any games that I haven’t played recently, just new ones.
