Hello there, this is my first post in this subreddit, so forgive me if I make any mistake. I am actually posting here because I'd like some advice on how to correctly market and sell my software.
For context, I'm an introvert and I'm a Software Engineer for over 10 years now, I've had the idea of this B2B/B2C SaaS last year and I've commited to build it on my free time, this SaaS requires IoT integration, so I've partnered up with one of the biggest providers in Europe to use their equipments with my clients, and I use my software to interpret what the IoT sensors say, and give them accurate reports, and also let them handle their assets correctly and other actions that are specific to the business that I don't want to disclose to not promote the solution. I don't want to go too deep into details, but that's the context of the platform.
Technically, the platform is perfect, I've tested it deeply and I've even developed a modules system so it's easier to grow in different verticals depending on the needs of the clients, now the thing is that as I said, I'm introvert, so I know I won't be comfortable cold callign companies and all that, I've tried LinkedIn prospection with no results and I'm thinking of spending money on ads, but the thing is I don't want to spend ads until I get at least some feedback at least. My friends are willing to test the products out and give me feedback, but they're not really the ICP as they are not willing to pay for such product, so they'll only see it from a gifted side I'm guessing, it won't be the same expectations as a real person that is willing to pay for a solution. The product itself is practical and useful, I know there's the market for it, as the only competitors in there are giant actors which only take big clients that have needs in big quantities, they don't spend time with small clients, and there's my market. However, I don't know how to reach out to clients in a correct way, as I'm always worried about product rejection, which I know it's a big issue in this field, and it's also imperative that the product is rejected, but it's just that I don't know how to handle those scenarios.
So for this reason, I've decided to create a white label version of it, oriented to resellers directly, so they can integrate the product with their brand, with their logo, colors, domain, email for invitations and notifications and even the billing, so it's really passive for the resellers as they'll only onboard the clients, we'll ship the IoT devices pre-configured so they'll be hooked up and that's it, they'll have monthly (Or anually, depending on the client's plan) revenue. Although once this is done, I know that my ICP has shifted from the consumers to the SaaS, to resellers that are willing to resell the product and keep the margin (Each reseller will be able to choose their price, the platform's commission is a set price, and they can put any price on top of that, for example if I have a base commission per device of 5€/month, and they sell it at 12€/month, they keep 7€ and I keep 5€).
With this perspective now, what should I do? How should I contact the resellers? What would be a good way of going?
