I’m traveling soon with my 3 year old daughter, almost 4 at the time. It will be her first time on an airplane, so I’m not sure how she’ll react, although she is excited at the idea, for context.

We’re headed to my oldest son’s high school graduation, so I’m not new to this, but it’s been a long time since I’ve taken a 3 year old through the airport, and I’ve definitely not done it as a single parent.

We’re leaving on a Monday and coming back Thursday, so 3 days total. Is it worth it to pay more for flights that get in at decent hours? Are we using umbrella strollers through the airport? Am I lugging this car seat or is it easier to have one waiting for me at my destination? I like to think it’s easier to just check a suitcase, but is it? I’m probably way overthinking this, but I travel by car to everywhere to specifically avoid having to think about this.
