Hey yall! I just have a couple random ac questions. I live in an apartment complex and every year before summer they send out this form that tells us “facts” about our air conditioner units. I have attached them to this post for reference. I might just be uneducated about this, but I feel like it seems kind of silly that it states it can only cool inside 20° cooler than outside. Definitely when temperatures reach up to almost 120 here. By their logic if it’s 118 outside my indoor AC should only be able to get to 98°. Is this real air-conditioning logic? or is this just their way of being able to blame us if something happens to the AC? They also say to make sure you keep your AC maintained so that bigger problems don’t happen BUT yet if I make a maintenance request for them to just check my air-conditioning, they don’t even do anything. They’ll just like come in and make sure the buttons work AND I’ve even had a Maintenance Guy tell me that they don’t do preventative work LOL
