Terrible Internet Speeds
HI,
I have been with BT Internet forever and have now eventually been pushed over to EE. We have the 900 Mbps internet package, and it’s just terrible. The only way I get those speeds is through a wired connection directly to the router, which isn’t really viable because of where the router is located.
I have my PC connected via one of those plug socket Ethernet pass-through adapters, and I only get around 40–60 Mbps. If I use my phone to test the speed over Wi-Fi, I usually get around 100–300 Mbps unless I stand directly next to the router while doing the test.
I know my PC is capable of the higher speeds, and I even bought a better Ethernet cable because I thought that might be the issue. Has anyone else had these issues or know how to fix them? EE haven’t been very helpful.
