I just got Mario Wonder physical copy of game for 40$ and its Eu version of game (Has pegi rating) however my account is on US.

I have also another account on my switch 2 thats Europe just in case of region locked dlcs but i didnt even use that acc once so far.

I bought switch 2 upgrade for 20$ and purchase was made trough my US account not EU one.

I read that dlcs wont work if you have EU copy of game and your account is US.

Ive put on cartridge and downloaded dlc and everything works great. I already played some of DLC content with my sister.

Why am i able to play DLC thats downloaded from US account while my game is bought phisically in Europe.

Is it maybe because DLC is treated as Switch 2 upgrade as well rather than just new content for switch 1 game?
