Hey guys, I just rented my first apartment together with my GF. Great so far.

However, we are already in a dispute over where to put a TV, since the fireplace is a clear, unmovable obstacle on the wall. It is roughly 100cm tall.

My choice is above the fireplace, central on the wall, complemented by fitting furniture next to the fireplace. I just feel anything else messes with the symmetry of the room.

Hers is on a tv stand next to the fireplace, since she claims it would be too tall.

Please help us settle this dispute.
