Apparently we're going to be forced into paying for TV licensing fee for using services not owned by the BBC? 🤦♂️
I guess it shouldn't come as a complete shock that the government are trying to force this through later this year but we'll be forced into paying TV Licence even if we don't watch live TV or BBC? Crazy.

Do not extend the BBC TV Licence fee to streaming services or broadband users
The Government wants to force households with Netflix, Prime or Disney+ to pay the full TV Licence even if they never watch live TV or the BBC. This is unfair double taxation. Reject any extension to streaming and move the BBC to a voluntary subscription model.
The Government is considering forcing every household with Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney+ or any streaming service to pay the full TV Licence fee, even if they never watch live TV or BBC content. This is unfair double taxation on people already paying subscriptions. The licence was created for an era of four channels. We call on the Government to reject any extension of the TV Licence to streaming platforms and to move the BBC towards a voluntary subscription model instead.
