I was just offered a GM position and I’m 22

I was just offered the position of GM for an IHG property my management company owns. It’s on the smaller side for sure only 58 rooms, but it was just remodeled like less than a month ago and is one of really only 2 decent hotels in our town. I started at this property part-time as a night auditor and then quickly moved to full-time. I then was hired 8 months later as the Front Office Manager at the newer Marriott property we had. Well it’s been 8 months since then and the GM at my old property left and they put an ad out for the position. I didn’t know about this till a few days ago and my GM and Regional Director kinda pushed me to at least apply for it. Well I didn’t even have to apply because my GM called the hiring manager and told her I was interested. I had an interview today and it went a lot better than I thought it would and I was offered the position an hour after the interview. I know I have experience in the industry, I’ve been working in hospitality since I was 18. But I’m very nervous for this. I think eventually I will do a great job but I know there will be growing pains and I’m nervous they may expect too much of me too soon. I’d love for any tips from experienced GM’s especially for when first starting out. I know guest satisfaction wise and the more front desk side I will do well in, but the other things as well as being responsible for everyone and everything is a lot and I’m just hoping my age and lack of tons of experience won’t prevent me from doing well.
