I recently bought a few IKEA MYGGBETT door sensors and added them to my Apple Home (HomeKit) setup using Matter.
The sensors themselves seem to be working fine. I can see the status updating correctly in the Home app whenever the door opens or closes. So communication and pairing do not seem to be the issue.
The problem starts with automations.
I created an automation to turn on a Meross smart plug when the door opens. I have tried multiple configurations, with and without conditions such as time or people, but the automation just will not trigger.
To troubleshoot, I even swapped the sensor in the automation for another MYGGBETT sensor installed on a different door, but no luck. Same issue.
What is weird is that it actually worked once, just a single time, and then never again.
My hub is a HomePod mini. Do I need an IKEA hub for this to work reliably, or should it be fully functional over Matter without it?
Has anyone run into something like this?
