So, I feel like an idiot because I think I f*cked up whatever I was going for. Once again.
Recently, I started playing Elden Ring again, choosing to start a new character. I didn't finish the game on my first because of my build (pure INT/Arc).
I wanted to do Dex/Faith build because I really love how the Lightning Incantations look like, and even watched some videos on appropriate weapons for that build. However, I recently started doubting that build after finding out that Lightning AoWs exist. I picked up some suggested weapons, and spent smithing stones on some - I don't remember how much in total, but I had to farm smithing stones again for other weapons I started to like. I level up Scythe, Bloodhound's Fang, Halo Scythe (which I farmed for 5 hours), and Twinblade.
I don't know if I want to do a Dex/Faith build, or a Dex Lightning build, or a Strength build. I prefer faster weapons as I'm absolute dogsh*t at Souls/Soulslike games (with the only one I have ever finished being Lords of the Fallen which had to most trivial boss fights ever) as I think that big, slower weapons leave you too open for enemy attacks. But I also prefer to be tankier, able to shield some hits, but I also like incantations / magic-based AoW.
I didn't progress much with either characters - the previous one had Ranni's questline finished, and the current one just defeated the Red Wolf or Radagon.
I'm attaching a screenshot of what I have currently.
Anyone help a ER confused newbie out, please?
