Setting aside the fact that this team makes no baseball sense with so many players out of position, it doesn't even make business sense. I wish Cohen would have stepped in and recognized the risk Stearns was taking. If the core had been kept, at least for the most part, and the Mets were still struggling this badly, fans would at least have had something to grasp onto and root for when showing up.
