Hey everyone. Looking for some guidance. Had a party yesterday and we had a few air fryers hooked up. The heat from the air fryers overheated the outlet. As in the physical heat coming out of the vents. Tripped the gfci and it wouldn’t reset.

I have installed two different new GFCIs and I’m still having the same issue. There is no power going to the outlet anymore. Wired them up exactly how it was on the original gfci with two wires to line side white to neutral black to hot and green ground. Things I’ve done so far.

1.) Replaced with two different GFCI receptacles. 2.) Tested and reset all gfcis in the house inside and outside. 3.) Toggled the breaker panel on and off both only the circuit and the whole panel itself.

Starting to think the heat may have damaged the wiring and I’m screwed. Sorry if some of my verbiage is confusing. I am not an electrician and have minimal experience but I’m able to get by. Anything will help before I get an electrician involved. Bummed out over such a dumb mistake. Thank you.
