Don’t have all the gear for a full Death Trap build? Same.

I was messing around with u/MattiasTheGamer’s Pen Shot build and ended up putting together this.

Death Trap is still king, but this build can keep up with it in terms of movement. It just doesn’t hit quite as hard. This build is weak on Lair Bosses but can do everything else just fine. I have Lair Bosses leveled up so they might be easier with out the extra levels.

For controller, I rebound Interact to Y so I can keep my thumb on A while still being able to hit X when I want to use Shadow Step. I use index fingers on the bumpers and middle fingers on the triggers. It felt a little awkward at first, but after a few Pit runs, it started to feel pretty natural.

Build is still a work in progress, but this might be one of the most chill Torment 12 farming builds I’ve played. I play SSF and most gear came from cube crafting with 1 GA Rare/Magic items. Poison Damage Multiplier is king and I only have 2 pieces with GA on it, still lots of room for more damage.

This setup uses the Legacy of the Sightless charm set. The gameplay loop is simple: hit Concealment once every 6 seconds to activate the set bonus, then keep spinning with Dance of Knives. Dash can also activate the set’s damage and refresh the buff, while Shadow Clone helps reset Concealment so the rotation stays smooth.

Vulnerable is handled by the boots aspect, Aspect of the Accursed Touch. Crowd Control comes from the Dance of Knives Slow + Movement Speed node, and Dark Shroud adds extra Damage Reduction and movement speed that can go above the normal cap.

I know there are stronger/meta builds for this, but I’m stubborn and wanted to make a GoD DH-style Rogue setup work for the throwback.

Build is still far from finished, but I’m having a blast with it. Curious what others would change for better boss damage or poison scaling. Enjoy!
