I’m looking to get into shooting milsurp rifles. Currently I shoot at SEG in NoVa, but just thinking about shooting .30 cal rifles indoors makes my ears ring. Of the clubs at AGC, MD Rifle Club seems the most geared towards my interests, does anyone have any experience with them?
I'm looking to buy my first surplus rifle and I have a question about bore condition. I see some rifles listed as excellent with "bright" or "greased" bores. I also see muzzle diameters listed with most being with .01 inches of each other. I would be planning on shooting fairly heavily and possibly using in some competitions. What are the descriptors I should be looking for in listings? I'd also feel bad about ruining some mint condition rifle that a collector might find more value in.
