I'm posting this here primarily because I passionately dislike vague posting, and that I feel like those in the know have been giving an inaccurate portrayal of was actually going on. With most people saying "Oh don't worry about it It's just personal stuff she'll be back" or something to that effect, when it seems to be, potentially, quite the opposite.

I furthermore believe that she understands posting it anywhere would mean posting it everywhere, But even if she would have feel comfortable posting it publicly on Twitter, not the kind of thing you do in her situation, not to mention brushing up against any clauses in her contract that may get her in trouble for speaking out on issues like this. Not saying that exists by the way, just one of a multitude of reasons why she wouldn't want to post this on any primary communication channels.

I wholeheartedly believe that sharing this information with the public is to the benefit of the talents that are so obviously butting heads with the corporation in recent years.

I don't have any particular feelings one way or the other together about Mori/DD. I'm not really a fan of her stuff, but she seems broadly like a perfectly fine human being. Regardless of this, I absolutely stand behind anyone withholding labor to fight for better working conditions, even if they're famous and wealthy vtubers such as Calli. Let's all hope for the sake of the talents we enjoy watching, as well as ultimately the organization through which they're affiliated with, that they can win better working conditions for themselves through solidarity with one another.

I hope they all understand that regardless of generation, branch, or country of origin, they are all in it together. I think there is clearly a culture of silence for these kind of things, partly due, I imagine, due to not wanting to trouble anyone else with their problems; and if I am correct about that, then I hope that changes as the understanding grows that they are all members of the same class, and that an injury to one is an injury to all.

If nothing changes then surely we will continue to see popular talents graduate and ultimately a slow decline in the agency as a whole. This is the inevitable conclusion to quickly growing publicly treated company such as Cover, because it is not enough to grow. They must continue to grow forever. Since that's not possible, the conclusion is always to drop more work on the workers while also cutting down in resources through firings and slashing benefits. We've already seen this happen to holostars, and I'm very sorry to say that it's only a matter of time before It happens to hololive too.

Edit: I forgot to add that both images are part of one post. The second image was, perhaps maliciously as stated in an accusation I saw, left out of the initial image. I got this from 4chan, one reason I left out as to why I'm sharing this is that I don't want anyone else having to go to 4chan to find out the context for all this.

I was banned from the Ashes of Creation subreddit for asking this lol. Apparently the only mod there is the former CEO Steven and I refer to him as a frauster a couple times. I was warned it was about to happen by another user and sure enough I was permabanned only a couple minutes later!

I'm currently making a video cataloging a list of all the many promised features of Ashes of Creation. I hope as a dev that's worked on these kind of games to provide folks with the tools to identify unrealistic promises and avoid both getting their hopes up and being separated from their money. I am also personally interested in the phenomena of fraudsters in the games industry and want to approach the topic from a somewhat academic perspective. In this effort I have done extensive research and have a list 20 pages long of all the individual features that were supposed to be in Ashes of Creation that are also not typical of a game like this.

For example: Quests aren't in this list because of course an MMO has quests, but dynamic quests that unlock as the world state develops overtime? That's on the list. Classes aren't on the list, but a class system in which multiclassing at lvl 25 creates a multiplicative amount of distinct classed? That's on the list.

So while I can find a great number of features Steven (and several other devs) have promised by combing the wiki on the waybackmachine (wiki was fan-run and taken down for obvious reasons), and slogging through the hundreds of livestreams myself, it doesn't give me a good metric of what people were actually excited for.

I would like to know which of the features you were the most excited for, down to the most narrow specifics you can provide, and feel free to add any additional stories and/or context you wish to share along with it! The waybackmachine stops functioning around April of 2024, so along with things I just happened to miss, I also have somewhat outdated info and I hope this would also serve as due diligence that I'm not missing anything of critical importance in my list.

Thank you very much for sharing, I feel for all the people that devoted so much time, energy, and money to this game only to end up being burned; but maybe with your help, we can keep people in the future safe from fraudsters like Steven.
