I have a Yamaha F8FMHS outboard, which I belive started it's life as a 8 PS (5.9kw) and was at some point restricted to 6 PS (4.4kw) by it's previous owner.
I'd like to go about derestricting it and was wondering what would need to be done and or swapped. As far as I know, the carb on these is usually kept the same for the restriction kit from 8 PS to 6 PS or 5 PS.
Throttle and gear is controlled via teleflex by a remote throttle control, not on the outboard itself. In case that makes a difference.
