Does the $2000 spend for the 20k bonus points, have to be on the new i.e the additional card, or can it be on the primary card?

I know the primary card holder would be responsible for the payment at the end of day, but wondering if Amex has some requirements for the bonus.

Could someone please clarify?

I’ve confirmed that it has to be on the new card.

I was not seeing this on the Amex mobile app, but was able to confirm on their website.
