I had a transvaginal scan yesterday (Friday morning) and the doctor measured my gestational sac at 10mm. It was completely empty - no yolk sac visible.
👇The Details:
LMP: 6w 1d (19th March)
By ultrasound: 5w 1d (GS measured 10mm)
By ovulation (tracked): 5w 4d (a 3-day difference) ovulated on 6th April.
Positive pregnancy test: veryyy faint line on 10 dpo (17th April)
HCG:
14 dpo - 55
16 dpo - 422
19 dpo - 1332
Symptoms: No bleeding or cramping. Sore/growing breasts and mild nausea that hasn’t really intensified.
History: I had a ruptured ectopic pregnancy 3 months ago (no MTX, treated surgically).
⁉️ I just left for a holiday and feel like I’m potentially holding back my joy/relaxation for nothing, but I am terrified. The doctor said the sac shape looked good and not to worry, but I know a yolk sac should be seen at 10mm?
Should I do a private scan in 4-5 days (this coming Tuesday afternoon or Wednesday morning). Is a 10mm empty sac at 5w4d common?
I just want to know if this is viable or if I should prepare for the worst. Any support would mean the world 💛
