I recently acquired a Pure Metal Kelly that I'm most likely returning because although the string spacing may look ok I always feel like I have to be super careful when playing on the high E so I don't slip off. I had this same exact problem with my JS32T Kelly and I had to reseat the nut and shift it slightly towards the bass side so I could play on the treble side with no problems. Why can't they just cut the nut with closer string spacing? I've got this giant wide ass fretboard and I'm starved for room on the high E? Nah dude not for the money I'm paying and please spare me with the "It's just your technique bro you've got to play with a lighter touch," because I've got an EVH striped series guitar with the same exact specs that plays beautifully and gives me more than enough room to play on both sides of the fretboard. If y'all have had similar experiences with the Pure Metal Series or Jackson in general let me know.
