Are there any risks for standing with a standing desk full time?

I'm thinking of doing some customization on my standard wooden desk, which was originally made with some custom measures for me (i.e. keyboard tray at elbow level, support for monitor at eye level).

I can't afford one of those mechanical ones that lift and lower on command, but I'm quite handy with woodworking, so I thought I could make some sort of fixed form vertical extension, for monitors+keyboard tray. I have it sort of planned out, but I'm wondering, since it could end up being a bit of a hazzle to switch positions, if working for long hours while standing is actually counter-productive and would end up giving me a new type of pain hehe.

I thought of even switching to full standing, work + gaming + move watching, incorporating the 2-monitor arm support that I use already, and if I ever want to sit while watching something or doing pen and paper stuff I can have my monitor above me and look up, sort of sci-fi style.
