I have a Honeywell Vista 20P and my installer contract ended. I’m paying $46/month for 24/7 professional monitoring and want to reduce that cost. I have an Envisalink 4 module installed and have been looking at EyezOn EnvisAlarm since it’s the lowest-cost option, but that would mean losing Total Connect 2.0.

Questions:

  1. What reliable 24/7 monitoring options exist for a Vista 20P, with or without TC2? I’ve looked at Alarm Grid, AlarmClub, Alarm Relay, NextAlarm, GeoArm, and EnvisAlarm.
  2. Is TC2 worth keeping, or is it better to drop it and choose the most cost-effective reliable provider?
  3. Anyone using EnvisAlarm with cellular backup (LTE module)?
  4. For those who switched to a no-contract provider, how did the homeowners insurance protective device discount carry over? Any issues obtaining a UL central station certificate?
  5. Any experiences with BYO/no-contract monitoring services?

I don’t plan on switching my panel just looking for a cheaper 24/7 professional monitoring service

Thank you!

Looking to buy my first walking pad and want input from people who have used theirs long-term

Criteria:

- My desk height: 46” standing, up to 51” max

- Foldable, preferably half-fold for compact storage

- No handlebars

- Preferably Black Color

- Durable construction with a reliable motor; brushless preferred

- Belt length suitable for a long stride; avoiding short 35–40 in decks

- Flat only, no incline needed

- App support for step and distance tracking is a plus

Use case:

- Walking 1–2 mph while working at a desk

Looking for models that have held up over time and any that should be avoided

Thank you!
