Best Dual Sport that can handle a little highway riding?

What do you guys think? Or would you go full ADV style instead if there is any highway driving involved? I live in Austin TX so it's would be super nice to be able to ride anywhere considering it's TX some roads have high speed limits. Thanks.

Did any of you guys like The Odyssey when you read it?

We had to read it in high school and I literally can't remember it at all. I don't think I could get into it because it was so dated in the way it was written, and ended up not sinking in lol. I imagine most people were required to read it in high school, and I'm just genuinely curious if anyone was captivated by it.

Any suggestions? Finally got clean off the fetty. Now picking up the pieces after being homeless a month. Goal is only like $2K a month right away, but longer term $10K a month would be comfy. I've had decent jobs at like $60K salary in advertising and marketing, and have a college degree.

Looking to get my first bike in 10 years since my old Honda Rebel 500 with Biltwell bars got stolen on Bowery in NYC lol. The new Triumph 400 series (either scrambler or speed) checks every box for me, but the single cylinder worries me being stuck in TX. Would you go for it or go with the Yamaha R3 instead? (budget is $5K max)

👍

Oh and I'm 6'2 185lbs. I'm in my 30s and a dude. Primary riding will be bopping around town, but being in TX I'll have to be able to hit the highways if needed. I've only had 1 bike before and it was a Rebel 500 when I was living in NYC and it was super fun for the city. Never took it outside the city tho. I'm ready to get back to bike lyfe lol. Let me know what you suggest. I'm pretty broke and will prob try to finance a new bike with little down so the cheaper the better because I'm currently unemployed lol. The Triumph Trident for $5800 looks like a pretty sick deal, but it seems like a big heavy bike and that sorta scares me.... The Ninja 400 seems like a good option on paper, I'm just not a huge sport bike guy but they've grown a lot on me recently so def considering them. The Honda 300 seems solid, but sorta small, and the Triumph 400 is a great price but I worry if the single is underpowered for the highway? Curious of suggestions on here.

Thanks!!!
