I am looking into a 3d scanner purchase. I have used some very expensive industrial scanners at work, but would like to get something in the higher end consumer range. Most of what I want to do is reverse engineering/retrofitting machines with new upgrades, and digitizing existing parts. I am looking at these 4 models for their range of capabilities, including single line scanning for deep features. I know the software from each company has pros and cons as well.

For reverse engineering, what would your recommendations be? One of these four? Something else entirely? I would like to stay under $5k for the scanner, so the X1 already has one mark against it...
