Whenever I stop playing d4 I feel like it may be the last time I play, yet ladder inevitably gets dull on d2 and I find myself back in the slog that is d4. Blizzard is sometimes clever in the way they time things.

So, at least new characters were introduced so d4 could be interesting this time around. Ok sold. Clearly the game has improved, but why tf do I still spend 90% of my campaign riding a horse from 1 location to the next, waypoints solved this problem a long time ago. I have what feels like endless gripes about the game, but that’s not the point.

Playing the warlock on d2, a new character for an old game, was actually amazing. After playing for a couple days you have a good idea what your class offers and basically how to play it. Playing the warlock on d4 is.. bland? It feels like it could be any other character, the skills are just skills that could be added to any class in the game? Do any of the skills from the d2 warlock even make it in to d4? It’s hard to explain but I actually feel like I played a new character in d2, in d4 it just felt like I was playing d4 again.
