What B&W film do you compare all others to?

Told myself I was gonna hold off buyin any more til I recently watched Marketa Lazarova. Absolutely the most stunning b&w movie I've ever seen. I'm big into b&w photography, so that's my favorite type of movie to seek out for inspiration and admiration. I've seen plenty that had solid story, but wasn't impressed with the cinematography. Had a hard time following the story a bit, and remembering who's who, but visually didn't experience a dull moment. Granted, Andrei Rublev is still on my watchlist, and just picked it up from last sale, but I will now be comparing every b&w movie to this as the standard of perfection
