Hi all! Hoping to have someone read a few chapters of my manuscript.

The manuscript blends historical fiction, contemporary fiction, time travel, and thriller elements, with social commentary woven through the story. It follows a protagonist who begins to see the modern world differently as his life unravels (for better or for worse) and he’s pulled into events far beyond his understanding. There’s also just enough of humor to keep the story from becoming too dry and “serious”.

Some cool locations this time travel takes you are, but not limited to:

Napoleonic France

World War 2

Austria during the reign of the Holy Roman Empire

Viking Court

If you’re interested, please PM me. I’m also happy to return the favor!

Howdy. First time poster, long time lurker. Would love to have someone critique the first few chapters of my manuscript. Manuscript is a historical fiction (via non-hacky time travel) covering burnout, enlightenment, grief and contemporary social issues. Please DM if interested.

Thank you!!!

Hi all. Question regarding EASA Class 1 / FAA 1st class as well as EASA Class 2 medical. Short story, I have a heart condition. It’s hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. I had corrective surgery, and while the condition has not been cured, I am asymptomatic and medicine controlled for 14 years now with zero changes in medical history. I have received a FAA 3rd class special issuance many moons ago, but that has since expired (I have flown on basic med since its inception, never needing a reason to go through the special issuance process again, since it’s a nightmare of paperwork). My two questions:

  1. Does anyone have history with HCM and getting a 1st class medical (under medication and while having HCM - but not having symptoms and having very mild HCM) - and by proxy, does anyone have history of getting an EASA Class 1?

  2. Does anyone have history of getting an EASA Class 2 medical with this condition?

I now live in the EU, and would love to be able to fly here. I know I’d need to get an FAA 3rd class again, and then apply for an EASA 2nd class, but I’m terrified that there’s a chance EASA denies me, which then I would have to disclose to the FAA which then would disqualify me in the US(?). The other side of this, is I’ve always considered continuing to pursue the career side, but have always thought that I would never qualify for a 1st Class medical/class 1 medical.

Photo taken by me during my adventures in the US.

Thank you in advance!
