THE LAST ARIA

A Noir Detective CRPG — East Side, 1972

---

WHAT IS IT

The Last Aria is a dialogue-driven noir detective CRPG set in 1972.

You play as Victor, a 48-year-old homicide detective called to an abandoned theatre

in the middle of the night.

---

TONE & REFERENCES

The tone sits between Disco Elysium and Silent Hill 2.

Slow. Atmospheric. Human.

A game that trusts the player to feel things without being told what to feel.

This is not a game about solving a crime.

It's a game about what the crime reveals.

---

WHERE WE ARE

Three fully written scenes. A clear narrative vision.

A story that knows exactly where it's going.

— Scene 1: Afterlight Bar — Victor before the call.

— Scene 2: The Apartment — Victor gets the call.

— Scene 3: The Theatre on Dunmore Street — the crime scene.

Investigation map, detective board, and location mini-games

are designed and prototyped.

The writing and design foundation is complete.

What's needed now is the team to build it.

---

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

— Unity Developer

Dialogue system (Ink or Yarn Spinner), scene management,

UI implementation, 2D/isometric hybrid experience preferred.

— 2D Artist / Illustrator

Dark, atmospheric style. Character portraits, environments, UI.

Think hand-drawn, ink-heavy, noir.

— Composer / Sound Designer

Sparse, unsettling sound design. Slow brass, rain, dead air.

Less is more.

---

THE DEAL

This is an indie project at early stage.

The writer leads the project — all dialogue, narrative design,

and game direction.

Compensation is revenue share.

When the game sells, the team earns.

Credits, ownership stake, and rev-share percentage

are negotiable based on contribution.

---

IF THIS IS YOU

Reach out. Tell us what you do and what drew you to this.

Show us work if you have it.

We're not looking for people who want to make a game.

We're looking for people who want to make this one.

You play as Victor, a 48-year-old homicide detective called to an abandoned theatre

in the middle of the night.

On the stage, under two precise spotlights:

a young woman in a white dress.

Arms out. Head back.

A smile that isn't hers.

Every exit locked from the inside.

A handmade ticket. A signed guest book.

A note left in the wings:

"Did you enjoy the performance?"

This is where the game begins.
