Current 1A174, interested in Sensor Operator jobs

See title, looking to potentially transition into a NY ANG position. Currently AD OCONUS, over 50% of my DEROS, 13 years in, E6.

Anyone filling a Sensor Operator billet able to answer whether they'd take a guy who knows the more traditional 1A3 roles into the position? I plan on chatting with the particular units but thought I'd reach out here as well.

Much thanks all. The career field merger is awkward since I've heard they don't want to really cross flow us, but worth a shot.

7 years to go, I wish I could just hit the skip button

Hit my 13 years this year.

Im just tired of doing it. Work is mundane. I miss my friends and family back in the states, I'm really looking forward to the post Airforce life. I hate how I feel like life is on hold... Renting a home in another country that doesn't feel like home to me is taking a lot out on me mentally. It's a good environment with good opportunities and the income is great, so I can't complain on that end. Just trying to make the most of things while we're here, but I just feel like it's all surface level. I try and keep myself busy and have plenty of friends here, most weekends if I'm not spending time with the family I can arrange something with someone. I don't know if I even care to promote. I'd rather pursue my degree than finish EJPME even though I'm missing that. Extra curriculars I just do because my friends are in them too, Im not particularly passionate about any of them. "Looks good on the EPB".

Currently pursuing my bachelor's and will have it by the time I get out, hoping to set myself up with a state job which ought to include a pension as well. All things considered I'm setting myself up well for that second life.. I just wish I could hit the fast forward button and get there sooner than later. Probably drinking too much on the weekends, nothing during the week though. I dread coming back to work after a long weekend or leave, however I just feel that's most people. I feel low energy and the days just drag... Sitting here typing yea I guess I'm just not particularly passionate about much right now.

Thanks for letting me type this out.
