I did some research, out of the vast aftermarket pads available, I picked a weird one. Don’t laugh but according to a few people who actually compared stoping distance the ACDelco premium pads with a HH friction coefficient had the shortest stops, both hot and cold. Other pads had a gg or gf coefficient. Also I found Raybestos made a “performance” rotor for the front on the turbo brakes. I also used rustoleum reformer to paint the hubs under the rotors. After burnishing the pads in, it’s a night and day difference between the factory brakes and now. The pedal effort is much lower. I also flushed out the brake fluid.
