Has anyone been able to show proof that the parent who was having substance abuse problems (alcohol) was unfit and able to get full custody of their child? That is my biggest fear when choosing if I should leave is that if my husband has my son and I’m not there something will happen because he passes out and is incoherent nothing will wake him. He gets drunk and plays video games and he out of it. And there’s been times I’ve left for 30 min and the baby monitor was on full volume and the baby was crying and he wasn’t waking up to get him. Also leaving the baby unintended and the baby opened up a can of zyn I was able to get to him before anything happened. Please give me any advice on how to go about this and what I need to do.
